Remember Demi Solar<\/a><\/em>? (the Philippine\u00a0 guy who reused plastic bottles filled with water to make sustainable light bulbs for low resources homes). It makes me very happy to tell you that the same idea is being implemented in Argentina<\/a>, in small communities in Santiago del Estero, Salta, Misiones and Buenos Aires\u2019 Delta. The project is called \u201cDay of light\u201d, and here you can get informed on how to help it.<\/p>\n What fills me<\/em>, is to see that 1)<\/strong> a sustainable solution emerges given a certain problem, 2)<\/strong> the idea translates in images, sound, text, and remains printed<\/em> in the internet, kept as knowledge for he who wants to seek for it and 3)<\/strong> the idea is copied, modifying any needed parameter according\u00a0 to where and when. And luckily, the cycle repeats itself\u2026<\/p>\n The Fabricicleta<\/strong> (as for \u201cF\u00e1brica\u201d and \u201cBicicleta\u201d in Spanish [Fabric<\/em> and Bike<\/em>]) also is an excellent idea, with extreme potential to be exploited and usable in any city in the world. It is an open to all public bike workshop, where you can go and fix your bike (while learning how to do it yourself the next time) as well as participate in several courses and conferences.
