{"id":1099,"date":"2012-04-30T01:48:23","date_gmt":"2012-04-30T04:48:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ploff.net\/?p=1099"},"modified":"2012-04-30T01:48:23","modified_gmt":"2012-04-30T04:48:23","slug":"boletin-consciente-n-51","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ploff.net\/en\/boletin-consciente-n-51\/","title":{"rendered":"Bolet\u00edn Consciente N\u00b0 51"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Anyone who believes exponential growth can go on forever in a finite world is either a madman or an economist.<\/em> &#8211; Kenneth Boulding, economist.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hey dear readers, this week I found a great organization named <a href=\"http:\/\/www.neweconomics.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">New Economics Foundation<\/a> whose motto is <strong><em>Economics as if people and the planet mattered<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I thought it was great\u2026 \u00a0we\u2019ve already expressed our opinion on how the GDP from each country is a weak measurement of the true well-being of the people, by excluding several social and environmental parameters: like the work put forward by NGO\u2019s, who dedicate time, energy and money, and whose influences in the well-being of lots of communities are not computed in the GDP, or the ecosystemic functions which are taken forward by natural systems, which \u2013<em>if computed<\/em>&#8211; would destroy the economies of lots of countries around the world.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1097\" title=\"BA - linda imagen green\" src=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/beta\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/BA-linda-imagen-green-1024x728.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"431\" height=\"306\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/BA-linda-imagen-green-1024x728.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/ploff.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/BA-linda-imagen-green-300x213.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ploff.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/BA-linda-imagen-green-624x443.jpg 624w, https:\/\/ploff.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/BA-linda-imagen-green.jpg 1137w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 431px) 100vw, 431px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The work presented by the foundation is called \u201c<em>The Great Transition \u2013 a tale of how it turned right<\/em>\u201d and you can download it <a href=\"http:\/\/www.neweconomics.org\/sites\/neweconomics.org\/files\/Great_Transition_0.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>; it finds ways to survive and thrive through financial crises, climate change and the peak and decline of global oil production.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is founded in three hay facts:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Environmentally, time is running out. What would once have been desirable is now urgent and necessary. And it\u2019s not just the climate.
