{"id":1115,"date":"2012-05-14T03:40:21","date_gmt":"2012-05-14T06:40:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ploff.net\/?p=1115"},"modified":"2012-05-14T03:40:21","modified_gmt":"2012-05-14T06:40:21","slug":"boletin-consciente-n-53","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ploff.net\/en\/boletin-consciente-n-53\/","title":{"rendered":"Bolet\u00edn Consciente N\u00b0 53"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dear Friends,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A few days ago, a friend of mine \u2013 Claudio Iglesias, Founder and Director of <a href=\"http:\/\/ipiba.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">IPIBA<\/a> (Intellectual Property Institute of Buenos Aires) &#8211; asked me what was <strong>my opinion on R\u00cdO +20<\/strong> (The United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development R\u00edo +20). To which I told him my opinion was <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">not at all positive<\/span>, and that if I was to write something about it, it would be trying to shine a light on the misconceptions we have about those conferences. What follows, are a couple of lines derived from conversations I held with Clau.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Starting with the Kyoto protocol, I feel it was a last measure given by our ancient economic system, by which a carbon dioxide credits market is trying to be implanted\u2026 a kind of <em>green bucks <\/em>that come \u201cto save the planet\u201d. Well, this is far from the truth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/beta\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/BA-53-corrupt.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1112\" title=\"BA 53 - corrupt\" src=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/beta\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/BA-53-corrupt.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"461\" height=\"372\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/BA-53-corrupt.jpg 461w, https:\/\/ploff.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/BA-53-corrupt-300x242.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 461px) 100vw, 461px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Although it\u2019s said that the Kyoto protocol is <em>money that the ones that contaminate have to pay<\/em>, it is not quite like that\u2026 it is like buying a hunting permit. What a lot of developed countries do, such as USA, England, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, etc. etc., is to but the credits that the underdeveloped countries cannot buy. Therefore, \u201cbuying\u201d the legal right of \u201ccontaminating more\u201d, <em>hunting more\u2026 destroying more the planet.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Countries that buy credits and think: &#8211;<em> I\u2019ve got credits that justify my contamination, the more carbon credits I have, the more I can contaminate with no one bothering me\u2026 let\u2019s see\u2026 Trinidad &amp; Tobago does not contaminate so much? Haiti does not contaminate so much either? Well, let\u2019 buy their carbon credits!, so that no one bothers us and demands us to modify our economic model\u2026 <\/em>(a smart move indeed)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>I PAY\u2026 AND WITH THAT PAYMENT I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT<\/strong>. Only that in the Kyoto casa, we are talking about paying more in order to contaminate more, chop down the forests, mobilizing great masses of people, filling our water with toxic waste, minimizing biodiversity, etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But\u2026 what if the underdeveloped countries do better in the future?&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If the day after tomorrow those countries can do better and, for example, get industrialized and enhance their domestic market and not depend so much on the international market?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Would they also have the right to contaminate a little bit? This already happened with China. Now that China is in full industrial and commercial expansion, USA does not want them to contaminate. But while the one expanding was USA, he contaminated at will. And the countries that already bought the credits counter attack:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; <em>Ahhh\u2026 dunno! A cocodrile who falls asleep, becomes a purse<\/em> (Argentinian proverb) <em>and I already got my credits!<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I mean, am I in favor of the Kyoto protocol? <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Nope<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Am I in favor of the R\u00edo +20 summit? Well, indeed not my friends\u2026 because, as many authors believe (Grinberg, Galeano among others), this summit is no other thing than a meeting in which lots of politicians stare at each other and say:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8211; Hey\u2026 what is happening sucks, right? The ice caps are finally melting\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8211; WE NEED TO REDUCE OUR GREENHOUSE EFFECT GASES EMISIONS\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8211; Oh, yes! We have to!<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8211; The hell we need to!<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8211; We need to do it before\u2026. Say\u2026 5 years? Does 5 years sound okey?<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8211; Yeah! Let\u2019s reduce it in 5 years.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8211; What an amazing race we are, that we can project and change things around! \u2013 <\/em><strong>HAHAAA<\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But where does a debate discussion panel exist? Or is there an excess of discussion panels? The opportunity is given for many countries to debate in order to generate an eternal delay. And those who never had the chance to debate anything join the debate, only to show and sell themselves\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Where are the thousands of projects presented by NGOs who really support CHANGE?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">NOTHING\u2026 Our representatives march one after the other (speaking as ME, INHABITANT OF THE EARTH)\u2026 one after the other saying <em>HOW BAD<\/em> things are\u2026 \u201c<em>We must reduce our emissions\u201d, \u201cwe must invest in renewables\u201d\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It seems on purpose, words like: sustainability, green economy, greenhouse effect gasses, the melting of the ice caps\u2026 appear ALL THE TIME in these speeches\u2026 but they are just a resource\u2026 The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">collective consciousness<\/span> makes zapping from talk shows, to football, and finally arrives to those channels at the end with weird people talking\u2026 what are they talking about?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u201c<em>No!, because CLIMATE CHANGE this\u2026 and the EMISSIONS that\u2026 and we need to be SUSTAINABLE\u201d<\/em>\u2026 and the mediocre, banal, inert man thinks \u201c<em>HOW WONDERFULL! THERE ARE FIXING EVERYTHING!!!<\/em>. But no, it is all a theatre, a fake\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/beta\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/BA-53-tv_hipnosis.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1113\" title=\"BA 53 - tv_hipnosis\" src=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/beta\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/BA-53-tv_hipnosis.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"284\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/BA-53-tv_hipnosis.jpg 320w, https:\/\/ploff.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/BA-53-tv_hipnosis-300x266.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 320px) 100vw, 320px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The summit comes to an end, you can hear the sound of polarized car doors shutting, the show is over,,,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>&#8211; Have you seen what the guy from Somalia said? Haha! He blames the developed countries for all this mess\u2026 what an asshole\u2026<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AND AN INTEGRATED ACTION PLAN DOES NEVER EXISTS to change things around\u2026 And the case of Somalia is only an example\u2026 other have a hard time too: Uganda, Darfur, Niger, Nigeria, and so many other countries where <a href=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/en\/2012\/03\/boletin-consciente-n%C2%B0-44\/\" target=\"_blank\">markets of violence<\/a> already exist\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My grandfather always said: \u201c<em>A PERFECT SIMULATION IS EQUIVALENT TO A REALITY \u2013 Politics has given masters in this art.<\/em>\u201d \u2013 <strong>Jorge P.
