{"id":1416,"date":"2012-12-10T00:01:41","date_gmt":"2012-12-10T03:01:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ploff.net\/?p=1416"},"modified":"2014-01-25T15:47:18","modified_gmt":"2014-01-25T18:47:18","slug":"boletin-consciente-n-83","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ploff.net\/en\/boletin-consciente-n-83\/","title":{"rendered":"Bolet\u00edn Consciente N\u00b0 83"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">An everywhere applicable idea<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Today, December 10<sup>th<\/sup>, is a very important day for the people of Santa Rosa, La Pampa: at 7 o\u00b4clock in the afternoon, the first <em>Critical Mass<\/em> will take place around the city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This is what we want to achieve:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><iframe width='425' height='344' src='\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HVLKxaO1QU4?autoplay=0&loop=0&rel=0' frameborder='0' allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">We\u00b4ve already mentioned more than a year ago in the <a href=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/en\/2011\/10\/boletin-consciente-n%C2%BA-25\/\" target=\"_blank\">awareness newsletter n\u00b0 25<\/a>\u2026 <strong>the Critical Mass is a sustainable, peaceful and massive social mobilization<\/strong>, <em>which has been replicated in several cities around the world for the last 20 years<\/em>. It is a collective manifestation of people who move along naturally, without using fossil fuels to achieve it, promoting a more sustainable and healthy life through using a bike or any means of transportation fueled with blood, rollers, skate, longboard, etc\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Simply put, people who meet just to go for a ride, not disturbing the traffic because they ARE the traffic.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The essential is the fact that this idea can be replicated in any other city, and that is what happened in Santa Rosa in no longer than 12 hours after the idea emerged; thanks to the motivational inertia generated when you do the right thing\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My friends<em> Flora Toral, Jenny R\u00edos &amp; Abby Viale<\/em>, got in contact with the people who started the Critical Mass in Buenos Aires, 600 km. away from here, which extended already to C\u00f3rdoba and La Plata (the 2 biggest cities in Argentina after Buenos Aires) and then created the public event and Facebook Group Account (\u201c<strong><em>Masa Cr\u00edtica La Pampa<\/em><\/strong>\u201d \u2013 La Pampa Critical Mass) in order to <em>create a buzz<\/em> and in only half a day 100 people confirmed their presence like soldiers called to battle. Only this battle against the system is perpetuated with cultural expression, with fraternity and good vibes.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1415\" style=\"width: 682px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/BA-83-MASA-CR\u00cdTICA-LA-PAMPA.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1415\" class=\" wp-image-1415 \" title=\"BA 83 - MASA CR\u00cdTICA LA PAMPA\" alt=\"Critical Mass - La Pampa - Argentina\" src=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/BA-83-MASA-CR\u00cdTICA-LA-PAMPA.jpg\" width=\"672\" height=\"431\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1415\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Critical Mass &#8211; La Pampa &#8211; Argentina<\/p><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our city, Santa Rosa, is of about 120.000 citizens\u2026 so we\u2019ve got great expectations with our hundred participants gathered!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you are near this town, we invite you to ride with us for a while\u2026 but if you are in your own hometown, in another city, thinking <em>what a good idea<\/em> and want to implement it, trust that you can! It is only a good idea, which we can apply anywhere you got good willing people ready to use their bikes, not only as a means of transportation, but like a tool for cultural expression.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Congrats to Flora, Jenny and Abby.
