He is studying international development in Lund\u00eds University, Sweden, and arrived in Argentina with no Spanish at all, but lots of ideas: he is making his thesis in recovered businesses which ended up transforming their selves into cooperatives.<\/p>\n<p>He recommended Noel to enter\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gapminder.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>gapminder.org<\/strong><\/a>, wher<a href=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/beta\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/1-BA-96-Gapminder.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1585\" alt=\"1- BA-96-Gapminder\" src=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/beta\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/1-BA-96-Gapminder.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"335\" \/><\/a>e you can see statistics on lots of data. There is graph which shows how each country emited more and more carbon emission from 1820 to 2011.<\/p>\n<p>On the other side, a friend of mine &#8211;<em>from life, university and the bike, also a girl with many facets<\/em>-, Flora, asked me as we rode:\u00a0<em>and? Have you checked<\/em><i>\u00a0<\/i><strong><i>bikestorming<\/i><\/strong><em>?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/beta\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/2-BA-96-bikestorming.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1586\" alt=\"2- BA-96-bikestorming\" src=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/beta\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/2-BA-96-bikestorming.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>No, I had forgotten:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/bikestorming.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">bikestorming.com<\/a>\u00a0is a\u00a0<em>storm of ideas<\/em>\u00a0for bikes. It is a website that proposes to create a global and systemic change regarding urban mobility in order to achieve sustainable cities. The motto is\u00a0<strong>51% bikes for 2030<\/strong>, and in the website you can find several articles, from tips for riding under the rain, to ambulance-bikes which save lives in Uganda. They comment as well whenever there are social movements on wheels throughout the cities of the world.<\/p>\n<p>Last, but not least, Victoria,<i>\u00a0<\/i><em>an avid university student (and outside the academic environment as\u00edwell) of the natural world<\/em>, shares\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lanacion.com.ar\/1555146-bjrn-lomborg-un-esceptico-del-pesimismo-ecologista-que-busca-salvar-el-planeta\" target=\"_blank\">an article<\/a>\u00a0with us about Bjorn Lomborg, a Danish activist who believes that the excessive attention put on the green cause deflects the most urgent needs to be solved. In the same article, an 18 minutes TED conference is presented which he gave in 2005. (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ted.com\/talks\/lang\/es\/bjorn_lomborg_sets_global_priorities.html\" target=\"_blank\">Check it out!<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/beta\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/3-BA-96-Bjorn-Lomborg.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1587\" alt=\"3- BA-96-Bjorn-Lomborg\" src=\"https:\/\/ploff.net\/beta\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/3-BA-96-Bjorn-Lomborg-1024x679.jpg\" width=\"625\" height=\"414\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>He emphasizes the need of invested the available money in an intelligent manner, for all the inhabitants of the world to have the basic health needs covered, as well as installing early alert systems to for see coming natural disasters, in order to then focus on the reduction of the greenhouse gases emissions which enhance climate change. <em>A Hurricane which kills five or ten people in Florida, kills ten thousands in Guatemala<\/em>!, says Lomborg. And those are the differences which we need to solve BEFORE going on.
