Good week to all of you!, especially in the closure of this year<\/p>\n

I would like to keep on celebrating the creation of internet as a global conector<\/em>, as an infinite web of information. For this I wanted to share stumbleupon<\/a><\/span>, a web site in which you basically can do a \u201cselective zapping\u201d through internet. You register yourself in the web site, you enter your likes: arts, literature, landscape, science, photography, music, movies, whatever\u2026 and you and you go pressing a button that takes your through different web sites randomly according to your interests.<\/p>\n

Through this way of exploring the web, I found several pictures and videos which I shared in this website. This week I got to know the Ten Humanist Commandments<\/a>, proposed by Dr. Rodrigue Tremblay.<\/p>\n

  1. Proclaim the natural dignity and inherent worth of all human beings.<\/li>\n
  2. Respect the life and property of others.<\/li>\n
  3. Practice tolerance and open-mindedness towards the choices and life styles of others.<\/li>\n
  4. Share with those who are less fortunate and mutually assist those who are in need of help.<\/li>\n
  5. Use neither lies, nor spiritual doctrine, nor temporal power to dominate and exploit others.<\/li>\n
  6. Rely on reason, logic and science to understand the Universe and to solve life’s problems.<\/li>\n
  7. Conserve and improve the Earth’s natural environment\u2014land, soil, water, air and space\u2014as humankind’s common heritage.<\/li>\n
  8. Resolve differences and conflicts cooperatively without resorting to violence or to wars.<\/li>\n
  9. Organize public affairs according to individual freedom and responsibility, through political and economic democracy.<\/li>\n
  10. Develop one’s intelligence and talents through education and effort.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I found it attractive to share these premises with you, specially facing this new year ahead. One might read them and think they are a little bit utopian\u2026 but I still believe that that which is utopian should come back to our daily thinking, should come back to guide you towards were you need to go<\/em>. Let us stand up, and be true with ourselves, that is all we need to do to start changing everything.<\/p>\n
