Dear Friends,
Yesterday, June 5th, it was the World Environment Day. This is a new opportunity to reflect on our role within the ecosystem.
I remind you again about the importance of having an education that stimulates awareness of the environment and enhances public action since young age.
The following video link shows an excellent, fast and concise idea about how we should re-think about the education system. Watch the video “Changing Education Paradigms”
I would also like to show you an article I found about a Bolivian law, which is about to adopt the “Law of Mother Earth”, the first law in the world that gives nature the same rights as humans. (Woooow!) See footnote 7, which highlights the 11 basic rights that are given to nature here: “La Ley De La Madre Tierra” (The Article is in spanish)
This year, World Day of Environment is celebrated under the theme “Forests: nature at your service” – in this respect, Miguel Grinberg, renowned Argentine philosopher, wrote the following article: “Dia Mundial Del Medio Ambiente 2011”
That’s all for today! See you next time!
