Good week to everyone!
We come from the same system. Our parents’ generation was a stuck generation, where the counterculture that started rising in the 60’s as a counterattack to a society tired of being said what to. But the lack of the actual communication technologies let the system take control and minimize that rising culture. The last economic crisis with the actual paradigm switch left this generation adrift. We come here in this context, we were born from a generation that did the best it could, but neither the technology, nor the emotional maturity of the individuals of the society matched the circumstances.
But now it is different, we are different.
Although we sense without us that having good vibes with those who surround us, being positive, and seeking the greater good, we facilitate the arrival of good circumstances to life… these concepts were always inculcated to us through love, or faith, in believing. And although believing is of prime importance to nourish ones will, humanity spent its existence trying to comprehend the meaning of life, and thus, looking for a rational way of dealing with everyday situations. It is important, wise, logic and even obvious the fact that we have to take advantage of the tools science gives to us.
Starting to do things well is combining both worlds. The love towards life, the passion, with consciousness and a sustainable way of living.
Vancouver is willing to be the greenest city of the world in 2020. And although this is just an example of all of this, it is still an example of changes materialized through seeking the greater good and the joint of logic, positive and productive ideas (not necessarily profitable from the economy’s point of view)
This is why I feel sustainability will emerge as somthing natural, a sort of evolutionary leap within the society as a system.
Greetings to all,
Brian Longstaff.
