Greetings,
From where I am writing to you, winter has arrived with freezing mornings and a thermal sensation that cannot surpass zero Celsius degrees. It is cold. And the cold manages to penetrate your body thanks to the strong and constant wind that hits your face when you lock the door and begin a new day. It makes you feel your bones; it wakes you up and makes you feel alive.
The one way direction and perseverance of the wind, is a characteristic that begins here in Santa Rosa, La Pampa, and extends towards the south through the entire Patagonia. An enviable characteristic that our country has, and an opportunity to plan our energetic system in a different way.
You can watch here an interesting video about a method that takes advantage of the wind energy for our country (or for any area in the world with one way direction and constant wind) invented by Jorge Díaz, resident of La Pampa.
The urgency for a resolution on the energetic issue around the world with a strong basis in renewable energies could be solved with this method. I would like to highlight the fact that this is a solution that emerges from analyzing a global issue (energetic demand and the need of abandoning the old means of energetic production) and trying to solve it first locally, according to the needs of each region, and enhancing national production.
The local solution, can be applied later on at a global scale, making the necessary modifications to the original design of the plan according to each place, but it does not emerge from seeking a unique solution to the problem. On the contrary, you start from the bottom up, each town solving its own environmental issues, giving good will to change, so that all the towns united can put on through the transformation of the global energetic web.
What we need to ask ourselves, as always, is our relationship with the entire nature. In very few occasions I had the chance to read such a clear article on the relationship of the political and natural sphere like this one (regretfully only in Spanish). The article explains how the capital relates itself with labor forces and nature.
Awaken readers! Aware! Huge hug,
Brian Longstaff.-
